Warranty & Service Terms or Reklamationsret
1. Statutory Right of Complaint (Reklamationsret)
All purchases from [Your Shop Name] are covered by the Danish 2-year statutory right of complaint (reklamationsret) under the Danish Sale of Goods Act (Købeloven).
This means:
-
You have the right to claim repair, replacement or refund if the bike has a defect that was present at the time of delivery or caused by a hidden manufacturing fault.
-
For the first 12 months, any defect is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless we can prove otherwise.
-
After 12 months, you must document that the defect originated at delivery.
The reklamationsret cannot be waived and applies regardless of any voluntary guarantee.
2. Voluntary Guarantee
In addition to the statutory rights, We offer voluntary guarantees, such as:
-
Frame warranty: 2 years (should be no crash or accidents)
-
Battery warranty: 12 months against abnormal loss of capacity.
These guarantees are in addition to the reklamationsret and never replace your legal rights.
3. Conditions & Limitations
To keep your guarantee and reklamationsret valid, please note:
-
Normal wear and tear (e.g. tires, brake pads, chain, or gradual battery capacity loss) is not considered a defect.
-
Improper use or modifications (e.g. tuning the motor, using non-approved chargers) may void both voluntary guarantee and reklamationsret if the damage can be linked to the misuse.
4. Accidents and Crashes
-
If the bike has been involved in a crash or accident, any voluntary guarantee or claim under reklamationsret will not cover damage caused by the crash itself.
-
After any crash, the bike must be brought to our store for inspection so that we can:
-
Check for hidden structural or electrical damage,
-
Document the condition for any future warranty or complaint claims.
-
5. Service & Maintenance
-
We recommend a first service inspection after 1000 km or 3 months, and regular servicing thereafter to maintain safety and performance.
-
Keep all service records, as they may be required to process any complaint or guarantee claim.
